Skin Care & Starting My Senior Year

It has indeed been some time since our last update, and I am eager to share recent developments.

Firstly, my heartfelt appreciation goes out to my longstanding clients for their continued trust, and a warm welcome to the newcomers allowing me the privilege of guiding them through their skincare journey. As I have transitioned Glow Skin Therapy back into a full-time commitment, reconnecting with familiar faces and forging new relationships has been truly gratifying.

This year has witnessed a notable trend among clients embracing consistent skincare routines and seeking my expertise. Allow me to underscore a few fundamental practices:

  1. Hydration as a Cornerstone: Water remains the quintessential beverage for optimal skin health. While I appreciate the allure of coffee and diet soda, moderation is paramount. Consider integrating a water bottle into your routine as a visual reminder to maintain hydration levels. Well-hydrated skin invariably manifests as a healthier complexion.

  2. Nutritional Impact: Opting for a wholesome diet invariably reflects positively on one's skin. A personal experience underscores this truth. Suffering from a persistent cough triggered by asthma, I conducted a month-long experiment eliminating dairy. The results were remarkable—cough alleviated, joints experienced reduced inflammation, and rosacea flare-ups diminished. While my love for cheese endures, moderation became key for optimal skin health.

  3. Makeup Removal Ritual: Despite shared guilt, the practice of removing makeup before bedtime is indispensable. Granting your skin the opportunity to breathe and rejuvenate overnight is a pivotal step in decelerating the aging process. The dividends include a refreshed morning complexion that is sure to be appreciated by your skin.

On a personal note, I am delighted to share a significant milestone—I recently began my senior year in college in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness. The prospect of graduating and leveraging this knowledge to benefit my clients is truly exhilarating. This term, my coursework includes delving into stress management and nutrition planning, equipping me with enhanced insights to educate clients on the profound impact of these factors on both skin health and overall well-being.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to sharing further updates soon! - L (Photo by Matt Ragland on Unsplash)
